Inflation appears largely under control according to some statistics, certainly better than in the last decades of the Apartheid regime, although certainly prices will continue to rise in the country. In the more than ten years that i have been traveling to South Africa I've certainly noticed the prices edging up, but that is going to be the case with any industrialized market economy.
